Big Mouth’s MBC broadcast slot could kickstart a new trend for K-dramas

With the debut of the new K-drama Big Mouth, its local broadcast could launch a new trend for MBC and Weekend TV channel.

Big Mouth is an upcoming Korean legal crime drama series starring Lee Jong-suk, Im Yoon-ah, and Kim Joo-hun.

Big Mouth may be the flagship of the new MBC slot

In September 2021, Big Mouth was reported to be broadcast exclusively on the South Korean network tvN. However, in April 2022, it was later confirmed that the upcoming series would actually air on MBC, airing from 9:50 p.m. KST on Friday and Saturday.

Interestingly, this block of programming (Friday and Saturday) could be an important part of Big Mouth’s success and could also become a leader in the broader K-drama industry.
